 The
joint venture team has the ability and proven track record
to perform various types and sizes of construction projects.
The structure is unique because in addition to the general
contracting services we provide, we also have an
environmental division as well as a training/consulting
division. Each of the divisions works in tandem to support
each other, allowing us to provide the “best value” to all
government entities.
The Joint Venture partners
have provided full-service general construction services to
federal agencies for over 25 years. They have successfully
managed construction contracts with the Veterans
Administration, U.S. Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Navy, General
Services Administration, National Park Service, and the
Federal Aviation Administration. The Joint Venture team,
although new in its structure, has been recognized
individually as leaders in the Federal environment as
professional, reliable, and honest contractors. AFA, as an
individual firm, currently holds contracts with various
federal entities including the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. CAL INC also
currently holds several multi-million dollar federal
contracts with agencies such as the US Bureau of Prisons and
the Federal Aviation Administration. Combined, AFA and CAL
INC have a significant amount of project experience and past
performance records that demonstrate a proven ability to
respond to customers needs.
By combining forces, AFA and
CAL INC presently employ approximately 80 personnel, with
gross revenues expected to exceed $20 Million in FY04-05.
AFA and CAL INC’s headquarters are located in Vacaville,
California. Each company maintains various project offices
throughout northern and southern California as required to
properly manage on-going projects.

Construction Management
AFA/CAL INC’s team of highly qualified and experienced
construction and engineering professionals can accomplish
agency assignments on time and at the least cost, providing
the “best value” to federal government agencies.
Financial Management
AFA has been in business since 1991 providing
environmental engineering, engineering construction and
procurement services. CAL INC has been in business since
1979 providing training, engineering and construction
services. As such, both firms have been established long
enough to develop efficient cost accounting systems that
adhere to all federal government procurement regulations and
have been reviewed by the DCAA. Our staff is supported by a
complete array of internal systems and specially tailored
computer applications that enable AFA/CAL INC (as a unit) to
accurately track project costs and contract compliance.
For contracts awarded to the
firm, AFA/CAL INC will utilize American Contractor for its
accounting program as well as other programs including Hard
Dollar, Sure Trak, Microsoft Access, Primavera, Microsoft
Project and Microsoft Excel if necessary.
